Meet Mozart Mouse and Beethoven Bear and get ready to move, sing, listen and play! Students build foundational music skills through stories, movement, familiar songs, colouring activities and hands-on instrument play, exploring high/low and up/down pitch, loud/soft dynamics, fast/slow tempo, steady beat, Do–Re–Mi and introductory rhythm notation. Designed for Grade 1 as a 4-session project, approximately 80–85 minutes per lesson. Curriculum connections: Music — pitch, dynamics, tempo, steady beat, singing in unison, glissando, quarter notes, quarter rests, simple rhythmic patterns, musical symbols and responding to music through movement and performance.
