Summer Arts Camp for Kids

Summer Camp 2026

7 – 12 year olds

July 20 – July 24 2026

This year we’re running one focused camp week with a calmer vibe and more individual attention. Campers are split into two small groups by age (max 6 each) and rotate through different spaces and activities throughout the day.

Small groups for the best care

Staff are trained in health & safety, early childhood care and Ontario's Elementary Music, Visual Arts & Theatre Curriculum.

Age-Specific because it matters

Why would a 12 year old be in day camp with a 4 year old? We curate our activities to be specifically geared toward the camper's age.

OPTIMIZED FOR FUN CREATIVE LEARNING

Making friends at camp is top priority. Give your kid a memorable & creative summer with connections that last a lifetime!

Music For Little Mozarts

For our youngest musicians, we recommend Music for Little Mozarts (weekly classes with Miss Michelle) instead of full-day camp. It’s routine-based, playful, and designed specifically for attention span and success at this age.

I'm With The Band

July 20 – July 24 2026

Got a young musician bursting with talent—but needing the structure to grow?

Give them the chance to write and perform their very first song! If your child loves to sing, write songs, or jam on an instrument, this camp helps shape that creative passion into real musical skills—through hands-on guidance, band fun, and collaboration.

Led by Miss Michelle & special guests in a fun, supportive setting, young musicians will grow their confidence and experience what it’s like to truly be with the band.

Includes:

- Band-style music-making and instrument exploration

- Rhythm games + listening skills

- Team rehearsals and mini performances

- Creative music challenges

MICHELLE SOULLIERE

Nice to meet you!

I have just as much fun during Summer Camp as your kid will. I want my young students to enjoy their music lessons, and express their creativity while they are learning.

I spent almost a decade as artist-in-residence for the conseil scolaire catholique Providence where I taught the arts in French using hands-on, innovative methods. I completed large collaborative visual arts and music projects with JK/SK, primary, intermediate and secondary classes. During the school year, I work in classrooms through Arts Can Teach delivering creative lessons to elementary-aged kids in public schools throughout Windsor-Essex.

After touring in my 20’s, I held creative, administrative, and teaching roles with various non-profit arts organizations including National Film Board of Canada, Artcite Inc. Pre-pandemic, I co-developed and co-delivered a bilingual professional development program for Ontario-based music educators through the Ontario Arts Council.

My BFA degree is from University of Windsor. I’ve received additional artist-educator training throughout my career from Jumblies Theatre (Toronto), Royal Conservatory of Music, and Multicultural Council of Windsor.

summer camp guest artists

CJ Gale

CJ is a Walkerville graduate and multi-instrumentalist with seven years of piano, eight years of vocal training, and six years of guitar under her belt. She has performed in numerous musical productions, both onstage and in pit orchestras, and loves teaching everything from classical and jazz to rock. A former rock band member for three years, CJ brings that same easygoing, performance-ready energy into her lessons, creating a relaxed, encouraging space where students can build skills, express themselves, and discover real confidence in their music.

Reese Losier

Reese is currently a student at Holy Names High School, where she plays piano in the Rock Band, performing at school masses and concerts. She began her musical journey at the South Windsor School of Music and is excited to now be part of its teaching team. In addition to her musical background, Reese has experience coaching youth hockey and volunteering at numerous school events and pep rallies. She is dedicated to helping her students develop both their technical skills and their confidence at the keyboard, offering patient and encouraging guidance. Reese looks forward to inspiring the next generation of pianists and creating a fun, supportive learning environment where every student can grow and enjoy making music.

Nate Kootstra

Beginning when he was 4 years old, Nate has had an affinity and passion for the violin for over a decade. He received his Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 8 certification with First Class Honours and is prepared to guide others along their own musical journeys. Using his understanding of what worked for him and those around him as a base, he’s ready to adapt to the needs of any student. Along with that, his ability to combine fun activities and important information make him effective at teaching a large range of ages.
