Simple Machines and Movements is a fun, hands-on 4-week unit that combines Visual Arts, Science, and movement for Grades 1–2. Students explore how objects move through painting, drawing, movement experiments, and simple mechanisms while learning about push, pull, roll, slide, spin, swing, and changes in position. The unit builds toward an exciting final project where students create their own interactive moving picture that they can manipulate and share!
