Lauren is a University of Windsor student pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree with 19 years of musical experience. Beginning at age four with RCM piano training through age 15, she developed strong theory and performance skills that led her to teach herself guitar, accompany her singing, and compose original music. She has performed at local festivals and venues and has composed three original film scores, two of which were featured in the WIFF Film Festival.
With a background in Child and Youth Care studies at Fanshawe College and experience working at the YMCA’s before-and-after school programs, Lauren has developed a deep understanding of children’s learning needs. She uses this insight to create engaging, personalized music lessons for every student.
In addition to teaching, Lauren brings nine years of retail and sales experience, specializing in musical instruments, accessories, and books. She is skilled in instrument care and repair, offering professional string repairs, tune-ups, and emergency fixes with clear communication and efficiency.
Passionate about music education and performance, Lauren embraces diverse genres—from classical and jazz to pop, indie, and rock—helping students discover the joy and creativity that music brings.
