Drum Teacher Information
Demetre Kalmantis has been playing the drums since he was 12 years old. Primarily self taught, Demetre learned the ropes from his musical family (his brother and father specifically) and from listening to the rock nā roll greats. He went on to pursue filmmaking, graduating from Communications, Media and Film at the University of Windsor in 2023. He has taught filmmaking to kids along with directing several festival screened movies.
His experience with music, especially in the rhythm section, has heavily informed his film editing and working method when collaborating with composers for his movies.
Demetre is a passionate and versatile drummer, and is eager to teach the fundamentals of the craft along with teaching you how to play your favourite songs on the drums with power and precision.
