Mike the Microphone wants to make art, but first he needs some help with his colours! Students sing, move, spell, sort, create and perform their way through blue, green, yellow, orange, red and purple, gradually building toward Mike’s colourful final show. Designed for Kindergarten with a GAINS adaptation as an 8-session project, approximately 40–45 minutes per lesson. Curriculum connections: Literacy, Music, Visual Arts and Dance/Movement, with a focus on colour vocabulary, letter recognition, syllables, rhyme, phonological awareness, steady beat, singing, creativity and collaborative participation
